Australia beat Canada 7-2 and got their first playoff win on Monday.

The Canadians squandered their best chance to score in the top of the third inning when they got bases loaded with only one out but then two batters were put out.

In the bottom of the third inning, Australia took a 1-0 lead when Simmone Morrow scored on Sandra Allen's single, but their advantage didn't last long. Canada came from behind with two runs in the top of the fourth as Natalie Ward scored on Tanya Harding's double after doubled to drive Kelly Gentle home.

Australia turned over the game with five runs in the bottom of the fifth. Marissa Carpadios was hit by pitch with bases loaded and Belinda Wright scored. Then Morrow scored on Canada catcher's error. Just minutes later, Stacey Porter and Amanda Doman scored on Tracey Mosley's double together and Kylie Cronk stole home safely right after that.

Although Canada tried to get back, Australian Sandra Allen's solo homer capped the game 7-2.
