Game Review (China 9-1 Italy)

China softball team booked a top-four place in the ISF XI Women's World Championship with a 9-1 victory over Italy in five innings Monday afternoon.
 
Left fielder Wu Di who drove in the first run for China with a single in the second  inning, had two RBIs and scored two runs in this game.
 
Italy committed two errors in the fourth inning in which China got five runs. Wu Di ran home from third base as Italy failed to catch Shao Jing's stealing when Zhang Ai at bat. Zhang then singled to help Shao score before she stole third from first base and finally got home on Zhou Yi's double. Yu Yanhong hit a double to drive Zhou Yi home and then took two extra bases to score on Italy's error.
 
Wu Di's second RBI came in the fifth inning with a double which sent Xin Minhong home.  Li Chunxia followed with a single to help Wu Di score, and Zhang Ai took an extra base to home for the ninth run.
 
Sabrina Del Mastio finally got the lone run for Italy in the fifth inning. She stole third after a single and run home on China's error.
 
China will take on Australia in the night game of today's doubleheader for the chance of participating tomorrow's medal games. And Italy will meet Canada on Tuesday to compete for the five place of this championship and more important, a pass to Beijing Olympic Games.
