Softballers start training in Beijing

(BEIJING, Aug. 24) -- With the ISF XI Women's World Championship only three days away, participating teams from Canada, Japan and Botswana began their training to get familiar with the conditions at the newly-built Fengtai Softball Field.

Meanwhile, security guards and medical service personnel rehearsed for a successful event.

Sixteen teams will compete for the championship from August 27 to September 5. They include: USA, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, DPR Korea, Britain, China (Pool A) and Australia, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Greece, Venezuela, Netherlands, Botswana and Columbia (Pool B).
