Jointly organized by the Information Office of the Beijing municipal government, Beijing Olympic Media Centre and Beijing World Women's Softball Championship organizing committee media centre, a group of journalists from different overseas press organizations visited today the National Stadium and National Aquatics Center located inside Beijing's Olympic Green.

The National Stadium also known as the "Bird's Nest"

The National Aquatics Center known as the "Water Cube".

The visitors showed keen interest in the two venues which are still under construction. They listened to the on-spot introduction by the engineers and asked questions about the progress of the projects and such details as quality of the building materials, internal facilities and external designs as well as construction plans within the time limits. As the American journalist from the Wall Street Journal put it, Beijing's Olympic venue designs have their distinguishing features, and the buildings look imposing and very impressive. He said when he goes back home he would write a detailed report on Beijing's preparations for the Olympic Games. He also hoped to come to Beijing in 2008 to cover the Games himself. In an interview given to Beijing TV, the journalist from The Sports Nippon News said that the "Bird's Nest", the main stadium for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, and the "Water Cube", which is the landmark building of Beijing 2008, are very beautiful. He believed Beijing will be able to deliver a successful Olympic Games in 2008.
