Doping control is strictly exercised by the organizing committee of the current ISF XI World Women's Softball Championship in Beijing, following the relevant procedures. For the 15 participating teams each will take at least one doping test during the competition, and the total number of tests will be 21.

According to the event organizers, the ISF stipulates that during the seven-day preliminaries of the World Championship each of the participating teams will take one doping test; and that the top three teams will take two tests each.

This time in Beijing, a testing laboratory designated by the event organizing committee confirmed the teams to be tested two days prior to the tournament. For an in-competition test, the athlete to be tested will be chosen by drawing lots when the game goes into its fifth inning; for the top three teams, the tests will be conducted on the last day of competition.

The ISF has reached an agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency on carrying out doping tests during ISF softball competitions. According to the regulations, a total of 22 tests are to be conducted for the current softball worlds. Yet, due to the withdrawal of the Colombian team from this tournament, the number of tests will be reduced to 21.
